Randy Fitzgerald

Randall FitzGerald is a biologist, behavioral ecologist and environmental educator with Montclair State University’s School of Conservation in Branchville, New Jersey.  Dr. FitzGerald has pursued the fine art of photography for over 40 years, photographing a variety of subject matter and studying the works of many of the great photographic artists. His love of the natural environment has permeated both his professional and photographic life, and consequently most of his fine art images reflect the intimacy he enjoys with the natural world.  Natural and rural landscapes comprise the bulk of his work, but he also enjoys capturing images of birds, architecture and still-lifes.  Like most photographers today, he worked with a variety of film formats from 35mm to 8×10, but has now switched to digital capture.  Moving from the darkroom to the computer screen has not been easy but it has opened up a new realm of artistic possibilities for him.
