Linda Barboni
Linda Barboni has painted all her life. Her watercolor paintings are fresh and spontaneous, the “wet-in-wet” watercolor technique always producing surprises. The loose-flowing spontaneity of pigment moving with water is why she fell in love with it 30 years ago. The excitement the medium provides has been a constant inspiration. A recent and exciting new direction for her has been the addition of chalk pastels, worked onto the watercolor surface thus giving a visual sense of luminosity.
Earning a BFA from the School of Visual Arts, NYC, Linda enjoys sharing her love of painting and has given watercolor workshops at Cornell University, taught and shown with galleries in the Hudson Valley for many years.
