Karen Kruger
Photographer Karen Kruger lived for a year in Germany while in college, taking along a 35mm camera to record her travels and experiences. From then on, travel and photography have been paired in her vocabulary and she has pursued both with passion.
After a career in information processing, she now concentrates on sharing her visual reminiscences of scenes with others.
Her current project is an exploration of the light and space and how it might be interpreted using digital or physical alterations. This might simply mean rendering a scene in black and white, with radical use of filters or effects to create a more painterly image or by actually cutting the image into slices.
Karen is a member of Studio Montclair and participates in the Unique Vision Workshop. Her images have won awards at local, national and international levels.
