Debbie Gioello
Art reveals my inner self. Art reveals my ideals and what I value. As an artist, art shares a passion for life.
As an artist and designer, I use color and sometimes the absence of color to depict shape and form seeking the creative relationship of harmony, balance and proportion. My art work utilizes different mediums and I express myself in different styles from realism to abstract ..from contemporary to cutting-edge modern. My works are painted as collections inspired by seasons, events, trends and time; All drawn from the visual dynamics of daily existence.
REPRESENTATIONAL BUTTERFLY PAINTING:
All my butterfly paintings are representative of real butterflies that exist in our environment . My butterfly paintings have been executed using acrylics and varnish in a multiple glazing technique producing a “truponto” effect
The spring metamorphous, after a winter solace, brings life and brightness to the natured earth. For me, butterflies with their unusual color configurations, represents the beauty of metamorphisms. Transformation at its grandest. Vividly vibrant representational splendor of life’s metamorphosed beauty.
ETCHINGS – AQUATINTS – EMBOSSINGS:
Etching is a technique and form of printing. Using copper or zinc plates, chemicals and etching needles I have drawn images of flowers, nature’s elements and figures as inspired by people and the environment . The interpretation of what I see is represented in both realistic and abstract form.
WATERCOLORS:
New to my portfolio are the explosion of colors inspired by flowers and flower gardens envisioned in a dream state. The watercolors are infused into rag content paper and/or rice paper.
